Samurai Gattai Series 03 DX Tora Origami

Finally got this one today. It dragged from last week till yesterday just to get the Japanese shipment in.

More specifically, it's supposed to arrive last Tuesday but was delayed till last Thursday. So I went down last Friday which was almost a wasted trip... I bought FFR 03 Kamen Rider Blade instead. Then, the story continues... with the Uncle saying that he would be "k" by alot of customers on Saturday because of this toy. I didn't went down on Tuesday but called to check and it was delayed again! In the end, the shipment only arrived yesterday.

Called to reserve this afternoon... Left 2 boxes (abit bad condition) on the shelves when I reached at 4.30pm. The Uncle seems to have anmesia at times; he suddenly remembered keeping good condition ones for me. LoL~ No discount this time round, it's S$50.00 for the Japanese Version.

The Bandai Asia shipment was also problematic, as local importer Sheng Tai Toys seems to be stocking up the toys themselves and restricting distribution. *Now you know, Takashimaya has put up Shinkenger Toys at the usual marked-up prices of 180%* Go-Onger Toys was not on local shelves though last year after Gekiranger.

Plenty of Japanese Version DX Kabuto and Kajiki Origami to go around at S$35.00 each. DX Engine JumboWhale is discounted to S$55.00! Sadly, no DX Toripter and Jetras to go with...

The Circle Is Complete!

Chaos! The over-hyped Tampines 1 continues to be swarmed with people...

I have decided to buy the rest of the Engine Keychains while I still have the momentum. Yamakawa Super was no different; it was packed with people... And I want to comment on this unhappy incident...

There's no queuing directions and it resulted in two queues but only one cashier. I was quite pissed off when the cashier skipped me and served another customer (from the other queue) when I was already standing there first and for so long! The person in front of me bought S$91.00 worth of confectionery?!

Then I voiced out to the cashier who wanted me to join the other long queue, and I was very annoyed. I exclaimed that I was here first and should be served first! Luckily, there were other people who commented on the lack of queuing directions, and the stupid cashier was so embarrassed.

In midst of the chaotic situation, the cashier actually gave me the wrong change! So in the end, I only paid S$6.00 for the 4 Keychains instead of S$16.00! Finally, I was more or less appeased. Seriously, I couldn't care less about returning the change because of the poor service and the over-priced items. Yamakawa Super is already earning too much.

Leading into the Overdrive Finale...

It has come to this time of the year again! And in just 2 more episodes, we will be seeing the finale of Operation Overdrive.

The only thing people are anticipating is the Toy Clearance! Seriously, Operation Overdrive is as screwed up as Mystic Force, if not worst. DX DriveMax Megazord is already reduced to S$79.95 and all other regular items at 20% off.

Yea! *Hoping for S$5.00 figures and S$25.00 Megazords!*

By the way, who knows if the DX Battlefleet Megazord released is a repackage of DX DaiVoyager since it is manufactured by Bandai Asia, and not the direct-import U.S. Window Box.

Shinken-Oh 天下統一!

SERIOUSLY hard to track this set down! I didn't expect the series to be so popular that I had to check out more than 5 stores to get on my hands on them! ... Suntec City's Toy Room and Simply Toys, Century Square's Comics Connection, Wheelock Place's Dollz Inc, Plaza Singapura's Comics Connection and Action City ...

Finally, my brother managed to spot it (the only set) at Ng's Collections when I am thinking of getting DX Tora Origami. Samurai Sentai Shinkenger has been treated with overwhelming responses, globally and locally alike, with toys constantly running out of stock not just limited to the Deluxe Mecha! Almost everything is sold out!

Back to the Candy Toy, the extensive articulation points are the major highlights and also further playability and flexibility. Well, it also serves as an alternative to my previous DX Shinken-Oh (which I should put dearly in the box), and I EMPHASIZE: ORIGINAL JAPANESE VERSION costing me S$115! So, a million thanks to my bro for getting me this set!

Retailing at S$8.00 each (S$32.00 for the whole set of 4) due to inflation against the Japanese Yen, and GOOD LUCK finding them!

*Update: Just found out that Comics Connection is selling at S$7.50 each (S$30.00 for 4)*

Engine Sentai Go-Onger Candy Toy Engine Keychains

Was at Tampines 1 today, and noticed that there is quite a selection of Bandai Candy Toys at Yamakawa Super. Afterall, Yamakawa is the local importing company of Bandai Candy Toys so it's not too surprising.

Again, more Engine Sentai Go-Onger Candy Toys including the Engine Daishogun! All these should have already be released in Singapore last year! The downside is again the price inflation against the Japanese Yen which makes the importing more expensive... I only managed to score myself a Birca Keychain for S$4.00 (should have been S$3.00 in the past) because I had been spending too much money recently.

Hopefully, I will be able to get the rest of the Engines soon!

Engine Sentai Go-Onger HEROX

Thought they were very cute when the picture was advertised back then, and didn't think I was able to get them in Singapore, except through the online route. Surprisingly, Toy Room @ Suntec only had them recently which is actually pretty late...

Unfortunately, they came in random assortments and you wouldn't know which one you've got until you open the box. That sucks, seriously and the PRICE TAG was S$9.95 each!

Super Expensive! Anyway, I went ahead and got myself one and it turns out to be Ren (Go-OnBlue)... I was hoping to get Sosuke (Go-OnRed) because he looks cuter. Haha. *Waste of Money $*
