Takashimaya 13th Craziest Toy Sale (Day 8)

Dropped by Takashimaya again, and there's so price cuts ranging from S$5.00 to S$20.00 for quite a number of items. Worth checking them out!

Samurai Gattai DX DaiKaiOh + Freebies!

Hahah, it was kinda lucky and there was no pre-empt of Uncle getting it so early. It was down to the last 2 boxes when I reached... What's new? Again, Uncle gotten short-changed on the shipment again. It's always half of whatever he ordered...

Not particular excited over getting Ebi Origami because it is not super nice-looking and that DaiKai Shinken-Oh (combined with Shinken-Oh) looks terribly out of proportion. This one's collecting for the sake of the series... or perhaps I will change my mind after I opened it?

The rest of the people will have to wait till next Tuesday to get their DX DaiKaiOh. Mine's the Japan Version at S$105.00.

Not sure about the minimum amount spent to qualify for the Goodie Bag but mine is definitely way over. China Square Central has prepared National Day Goodie Bags for its shoppers and they can be redeemed at the Customer Service Counter.

Quite worth it, as you can see from the photo and I was able to save some money without having to buy drinks. There's 2 packets of Season's Iced Lemon Tea which I drank one earlier.

If you can tell what's included, there's vouchers, biscuits, drinks, a torchlight, a poncho, tissues, VCD pouch, and Hand Sanitiser (H1N1!)...

Lucky! I was the fifth customer of the day, so I stand to win an additional small handy pouch. It comes in either red or white (the NDP motif), and white was clearly the less ugly of the two. LoL~ I have no use for this bonus gift, and I will probably give it to my mum or grandma.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger Chouzenshu

I received my Engine Sentai Go-Onger Chouzenshu in the mail today!

Honestly, I was quite disappointed after flipping through the pages. I was expecting relatively big and nice photos as reference and collection purposes... However, everything was so small and cramped into one book which is not very thick to begin with.

Actually, I don't quite get the rationale behind it - Squeezing alot of elements for Go-Onger into one book isn't very smart on their part. Why? Because the past recent Super Sentai all had 2 volumes each, at least from Dekaranger which I can remember. Why wouldn't they want to continue the 2 volumes strategy to earn more profits since the series is so popular in Japan. Therefore, I would say that the Boukenger and Gekiranger ones were more worth the money.

As for this one... probably not so much. And I paid US$28.99 (S$43.49) for it.

Shinkenger-Decade Crossover

Nice picture? *Click for larger image*

All it takes is a simple link of Ika Origami getting stolen by a Kamen Rider. It's that simple!

In case, anyone is wondering... It's in the following order: Shinken Act 20, Decade Ep 24, Shinken Act 21 and Decade Ep 25.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger HEROX (2)

Finally squeezed out some time to go Suntec City to get these guys.

My initial plan was if there are still alot of boxes left, I would buy one at a time and open it to see what I have got before buying another one.

Hey, Toy Room was in a much worse state than I imagined. I can only imagine how much longer left before it completely closes down... Back to the topic, I grabbed all the remaining boxes at once to try my luck at the cost of S$39.80! Damn, the store should have given some discounts if they still want any business; it's seriously empty.

So I opened them one by one, and Lady Luck almost got me. First, I got Gunpei (Go-onBlack), and next Sousuke (Go-OnRed)! Doing pretty well at the moment, the third one was Saki (Go-OnYellow); no repeat yet! 3 out of 4 was no mean feat, and the disappointment had to come at the last box...

So, goodbye to Hant (Go-onGreen)! It's a second Saki... which I decided to give to my cousin. There goes the incomplete circle.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Prop Plus Petit

Yes, I'm officially crazy!

After calculating what's left of my paycheck, I have decided to go ahead and pre-order this set as well! So cute! However, I am not too fond about the ranger forms with the big heads at all... only their Origamis' a plus.

Going for US$58.99 (~S$85.81), and releases on the August 31 as well.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - SushiChanger

I was quite reluctant to get this lame-looking thing at first. However, because of its ability to summon all the 10 Origamis (like the Boukenger Accellular), I just have to get it!

The stock at Ng's Collections was long sold out, and I didn't see any more re-stock, so I decided to go to Wheelock's Dollz Inc. Luckily, the auntie was there (and recognized me), so she was able to give me a discount (from the Dollz Inc's price of S$69.95). In the end, I paid S$60.00 for the Sushi-Changer which was S$5.00 more expensive than I would have gotten from China Square Central. Oh well, it's a totally different system all together. After all, the prices at Wheelock Place are higher so as to offset the higher rental expenses.

The only complain about the toy, is the mechanism to activate the sounds. I don't think the clipping-on-and-off action of the Sushi-Disk can last very long, due to the plastic fragility.
